Riad Assakina is a strikingly original creation whose style and décor unites traditional Morocco with the refinements of a stunning private residence. It has an excellent location, situated in the ancient Jewish quarter of the old Medina: just 10 minutes easy stroll from the Jemaa el Fenaa Square and the Souks; next door to the the Bahia Palace; and just 4 minutes from the Badiaà Palace and Saadien Tombs. Its seven luxurious rooms and suites are built around a wonderfully light and spacious patio: an exotic setting cooled by the freshness of the swimming pool. The rooms have been individually decorated in breathtakingly beautiful style; are extremely generously proportioned; and provide all the refinement and prestige that one would expect from a traditional Moroccan palace. For a truly Moroccan dining experience, the restaurant is informal and excellent, with classic local dishes cooked and served to perfection. Finally, a large terrace overlooking the city acts as a warm sun-trap during the day; and a cool haven for relaxing and dining at night. Riad Assakina is situated in a calm side street, adjacent to a Royal palace in the heart of the old city: an ideal base from which to explore Marrakech on foot. The service is top-class: Michele - the owner of the riad - and her team will do everything they possibly can to help make your stay a magical experience.
