Exceptional Riad in Fes Medina - Jun 13, 2019
The Riad is absolutely gorgeous and spotlessly clean with very nice amenities. It was a delight to return there at the end of each day in Fes. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The location is ideal as well.« less ...

Very beautiful and authentic Riad in the fascinating Fes Medina. - May 31, 2019
The Riad Salam Fes was a very beautiful hotel in the common areas, typical of he Riad design. They were beautifully decorated and pleasing to the eye. But the rooms are very “interesting”. We had a long trek to get to our room, up the elevator, across the roof garden and down some narrow stairs to the end of a short corridor. Other travelers had vastly different room experiences. ranging from small rooms to very large rooms with multiple levels I guess variety is the spice of life. The dining arrangements were once again “interesting”, in that there was no common dining areas shared by all guests, but different groups were setup around the facility, mainly on the ground floor. We had a good dinner and breakfast.« less ...

Reminiscing the "Moroccan Experience" - May 20, 2019
This is what I will call "The Experience" of going to Morocco and what most people look for when they want exotic and unique as opposed to the usual and the same as everywhere else. This is exactly what I loved about Morocco. This is a Riad, the Moroccan hospitality example of what we might call a larger type B&B or such. This is what you want when you come to Morocco. I loved the moment from the very beginning at the front door of this Riad. Wonderful Brass door surrounded by a gorgeous mosaic frame, very inviting as if to speak to you. What is beyond is like stepping into another time, another place. And that is part of "the experience" here. The decor here is everything! It sets the mood, it sets the feeling that you want to have in Morocco. The staff here were wonderful. They were welcoming, very kind and gentle, and helpful. Now, I have more to love when taken to our room. I loved our door! I loved our room, I loved the design and decor of it all. I am so into this stuff, I love to share my passion. So I took so many pictures, I was in my glory!Mustafa, our guy there was so cool, so helpful, I loved his outfit, his expressions...We had breakfast twice and dinner once. That was interesting, but it was the Moroccan experience. This is a very old place, then you have some little issues, but hey, just remember it is all part of the "experience". So, I will sum this up, the good was worth little issues that I have forgotten about, but I am still enjoying the overall good memories of the Moroccan "experience". So glad we stayed here. I never think about those more perfect, modern run of the mill places afterward, but I love reminiscing about Riad Salam Fes. You should go and enjoy Moroccan memories too.« less ...
