Cooking class - Mar 19, 2019
Actually it was a perfect experience of cooking with the beautiful jamila. We learned how to cook tajin chicken and some famous salads like taktuka and salok. It was really delicious and the riad salam fes is gorgeous but the most beautiful is jamila who is very helpful.« less ...

Lovely Riad and Super Staff - Mar 13, 2019
The Riad Salam is hidden gem of Fez. Finding it is impossible task. But once you are in, its whole new world. It’s beautiful over all, and every small corner of the Riad is decorated very well. Mohammad, Mustafa, and all the staff are extremely helpful and always happy and cheerful. We loved our time in Fez thanks to Salam Riad« less ...

excellent stay - Mar 5, 2019
The Riad was part of a tour stay in Fez. My expectations are usually low for bus tour lodgings but this place was beautiful. Aside from being a visual treat the staff provided excellent service. The Riad: We walked from the bus through the narrow streets the down a long alley. This was my first riad lodging stay and I was blown away by the lovely hotel behind the huge metal door at the alleys end. The building is ancient and completely hidden from the surrounds. The interior is beautifully finished and the decor is authentic Morocco. The common rooms, fountains, pool, and myriad of passageways were fun to explore. Our group was served breakfasts and one dinner. The food quality was good and portions huge. The service was outstanding. The room: Our ground level room was off a common area. The room was large and comfortable. Sleep quality was good. The room was clean and stocked with bottled water and welcome snacks. The bathroom was not 5 star, small and cramped and poorly lit. All things considered - it's a really old buiding and we only slept and showered in the room - I give the proprietors a pass this time but some maintenance was lacking. The towels were worn and stiff. Our stay was in January winter and we had to turn off the heater as it really worked well. The staff made up for any deficiencies (fresh towels, repairing the safe, fixing the sink drain, etc) with their cheerful attitude and friendly engagement. Nothing could detract from the beauty of the property and excellent staff. I was surprised that our tour booked this level of property. I can make no judgement on value as this was tour inclusive. I enjoyed strolling the local streets and trying to not get lost in the maze of Fez. Recommended for a taste of Morocco past for tourists.« less ...
