Super hospitable! - Nov 25, 2018
From the first second we walked into the hotel, we noticed how it's different than the other hotels we have stayed at in Morocco. Super hospitable! The level of English is okay, the food was good, and the area is great. Within 2 minutes you are in the medina and at restaurants, and the new city is only a few minutes away. Great hotel, with great rooms available for a great price!« less

Needs refurbishing - Nov 9, 2018
Great location, nice architecture in main open area. However, it's run down and existing maintenance work has been carelessly done. It could be so much nicer. Bathroom hadn't been decorated for years, window didn't open, sink didn't drain, etc. Breakfast okay, i.e. below average. Dinner poor: soup not well spiced,Tagines too large and bland. Later we discovered that the menu was exactly the same as Jardin Chrifa--maybe same owners?« less

Reliving the Past - Oct 26, 2018
It is a beautiful riad in the smack of town. The architectural designs is so awesome that relaxing in the courtyard, transports you back in time. You feel that you belonged to some nobility, enveloped with such luxurious surroundings. Room was big and clean. Every thing was just perfect. Dinner was the best we had and the eff tarts were unbelievably delicious. We had to leave early for the airport so we did not have the chance to have breakfast. All in all, this hotel is another great hotel that we were so blessed to stay while we were in Morocco.« less

Unfulfilled booking with Expedia! - Oct 19, 2018
The riad is very well located, only 3 minutes walking from the nearest car access point to Fes' medina. We had booked it through Expedia with instant confirmation and non refundable terms, but when we've arrived at the riad almost 9pm they said they didn't have our booking, that they were having this same issue all the time with Expedia.Luckily they had a room (very nice!) with ensuite bathroom (pretty bad, not at all at the same level of the room) for the first night, but we had to leave the next day as they were fully booked for the other 2 nights we were spending there. We had to hang on the phone for more than 50 minutes (first call) and another 20 minutes (2nd call) with Expedia to have them to process a full refund to our credit card.We were so disappointed that we end up choosing to stay at the Nouvelle Ville in a chain hotel (Marriott) for the rest of our stay in the city due to this issue.Otherwise the riad is beautiful and impressive and with minor upgrades (specially in the bathrooms) and better management it would be a solid option to stay inside Fes medina.« less
