Disappointing stay - Oct 27, 2019
Unfortunately this Riad looks great in pictures but is far from a great Riad. Firstly, the bed and pillows was super uncomfortable. Secondly, at check in- we were charged tax on top of our finalised booking price which was strange considering the booking says "including taxes". In the room there is an awful smell coming from the plumbing in the bathroom, the smell was unbearable and they tried to mask the smell with excessive amount of perfume. Finally, what made me feel like this was an extremely uncomfortable stay is the level of unprofessionalism and dishonesty coming from the staff at the Riad. My husband and I came down to have breakfast at 8:10am, breakfast is suppposed to commence at 8am. A staff member told us that the waiter is running late and breakfast won't start until another 20 or 30 minutes. We then went to our room disappointed. We had a tour guide coming to pick us up at 8:30am. At around 8:26am we got a call from our room, with the waiter saying "My colleague said you came before 8am". This was the first lie as we came at 8:10am then he said "I bring your breakfast to your room now", I told him unfortunately we have to meet our tour guide in the lobby in a few minutes. Then, he quickly said "He called he said he will be late, I bring breakfast to your room", and I thought how strange so i said ok since he was extremely persistent. He dropped the breakfast in our room, he then insisted he will call us in the room when our guide is here. So we just agreed and continued to eat our breakfast and at 9am, we got a call saying our guide is here. We go downstairs and I ask the lovely guide how long he was waiting for and he said "30 minutes".. !! I was shocked to hear how a staff member at the Riad lied to us, resulting in him trying to mask his lateness to work and the poor guide waited for 30 minutes whilst we naively believed the waiter at the riad. I have never stayed somewhere where staff members lie, manipulate guests and have that level unprofessionalism. A sincere apology from him and a substitute meal would've sufficed. Lastly, the riad failed to mention that major contruction was happening on premises. For 4 days all day long there was an irritating banging noise, because of this we were unable to stay at the Riad from 9am to about 6pm.« less

Calm and comfy - Aug 19, 2019
First of all the location is perfect for people who want to stay near the center of city jamaa el fna , about the breakfast it wasn't how I expected because I prefer to be like buffet not like serving you which I don't like and the thing that I couldn't understand is when it almost midnight the electricity get completely off for few mins and back on but honestly the massage I took was very nice and from here I thank the manager Fatima Zohra was very helpful .And I loved the room that I stayed on was junior suite it's really comfortable and calm with small TV.« less

Dissapointed - Jul 14, 2019
Its probebly a good hotel, but they rebooked us because a leak. We didnt get the notification until the day before on email witch i didnt check before checkin time. They found a lower standard hotel witch was far away. The maneger was rude and not helpful. The rest of the staf was good. We had to handle the situation ourselfs and call the booking agency and find a selution. We wasted 1,5 hours on somthing i belive is an overbooling. And they prioritized the costumers who booked later and payed a higher price. We booked monts ahed, witch gave us a good price. I would look elsewhere and choose another riad with better moral and etics. (By the manegers) We chose "Riad WOW" witch was close by, and the staf was lovley. We loved our stay. I saw later that som other guest was stoppet at the door because one was wearing an hijab. Our name is Arabic so maybe they dont want maroccan or arabic guest here. its not a good experiance to travel all the way from norway and be met with problmes.« less

PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW FOR YOUR OWN GOOD! - Jul 11, 2019
We are two people, we booked our room more than 2 months before our check in. The same day as check in we got an e-mail from the hotel that our room was unavailable because of a leak. They had found another hotel for us that was way out of the city center and lower standard than this one. We got to speak to the manager, Mr. SAID, on the phone. First of all, he was sooooo rude. He did not let us speak. He interrupted us all the time. He gave us two options. Either take the hotel he found for us wich is far away, or give us our money back. That is not how anyone should treat their guests. He also lied. To us he said it was a leak in the room, but to the agency he said it was overbooked. We checked the hotels website to see if it was overbooked and it was not! He just did not want to give us another room because it was a more luxurious room than we had booked. So basically he tried to send us to a lower standard hotel far away. We found a new hotel on our own that was the same standard and in the same area, and our booking agency helped us with the reservation and they covered the difference in the payment. And we also got free breakfast. So we spent our whole midday in the lobby calling our agency back and forth wich is expensive! We reccomend, DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL!!!• Rude manager who do not let the guests speak• Manager lying to his guests and not giving an effort to help.• Not really telling us the reason why we could not get our room. • We suspect that they gave our room to other guests who booked it later for a higher price.• The hotel and the staff that we spoke to were nice, but I would still choose another hotel where they treat everyone equally! • No moral, no ethics We rebooked to RIAD WOW, just down the street, and this hotel is very good! The whole staff is very friendly and the hotel and the rooms are beautiful!« less
