Beautiful & Photogenic Riad - Feb 23, 2020
We enjoyed the stay in this Riad. The place was beautiful and very photogenic. We took many nice pictures there. The bed was very comfy and the room was very nice. It is a taxi ride to Blue Gate of Medina, which is the perfect place for rest & getwaway. Highly recommend this Riad.« less

Fairytale lobby, variety of room choices - Feb 15, 2020
The building is a stunningly beautiful example of a riad, with many lovely architectural and decorative features and furnishings. The staff were very friendly. The 3-room fairytale lobby was elegant and visually impressive. The location was perfect - quiet but walking distance to old M├ędina. We stayed in two rooms. The first, in the old building was up a winding staircase, and was composed of three small rooms on different levels. A small but adequate bedroom, then down and some steps and the up some steps to the right for a dressing room, then into the bathroom. Authentic and cozy, but quite a trip in the dark at night time. Although we left the small heater on all night in the bathroom, it never got warm.We then moved to the new, almost complete, wing (with elevator) and a large, beautifully decorated and furnished room overlooking the bar/lobby area. Only complaints were: no heat in the big marble bathroom, no place to hang towels, very slow hot water, inadequate drain in the huge shower which led to flooding, no safe in room, no slippers or bathrobes, and we had to ask that the music be turned down in the lobby late at night. Breakfast was barely adequate, with packaged cheeses and jams and no fresh fruit (which Morocco has an abundance of).Despite these minor annoyances, we loved Riad el Amine and would recommend it and stay there again.« less

Beautiful - Feb 6, 2020
This is a BEAUTIFUL hotel and like a previous Riad we stayed at in Rabat, it is off the main road via narrow alleyways. Same with the previous Riad, bellboys will have to come to meet you to carry luggage over to the hotel. The check in process was smooth and the staff were lovely, friendly and welcoming. The rooms (and all of the hotel) are stunning, elegantly decorated and somewhat comfortable i.e. they are very comfortable for what they are but if one is more used to modern/contemporary hotels then it may be a bit cold. The interior design and architecture of the hotel is a wonderful example of traditional Moroccan aesthetic. The hotel is incredibly photogenic and the photo enthusiasts in our group had a field day clicking away.« less

Totally unexpected beauty in the heart of the City - Jan 12, 2020
I had the pleasure of staying here during a tour of Morocco. We had already visited Casablanca and Marrakesh, so I was already aware of the great hospitality and service that Morocco prides itself on. However, this Riad blew all my expectations out of the water. The interior is a museum of art and the staff treats you like family. Some of my best memories from that trip come from lounging in the common area on plush sofas reading a book and sipping piping hot mint tea. If you are planning a trip, there is no other place I would recommend staying! I hope I make it back there soon as well.« less

Graciousness and elegance awaits you - Jan 10, 2020
An international occupational therapy conference in Tangier brought me and my partner to Morocco, for our first (but definitely not last) visit to this remarkable country. Our three day stay at Riad El Amine in Fes was comfortable, easy and luxurious without being ostentatious. The furnishings were sumptuous. Breakfast was very good as was afternoon tea and my partner was thrilled by her hammam experience. The manager Mehdi Ameur deserves a special shoutout for his helpfulness and command of English. Excellent value for the price. Great location. The pics on their website are accurate!« less
