A welcome calm in busy Marrakech - Mar 20, 2019
The staff at Riad Anyssates made our stay relaxing and calm without over fussing. Help was always at hand and smiles were always ready. A wonderful escape from from the dust and noise of Marrakech's busy medina.« less

Haven of calm! - Mar 7, 2019
This was a great base from which to explore Marrakech. The Riad was beautiful and all the staff without exception were helpful and really worked hard to make sure we enjoyed our stay. They even lit a fire with olive logs every evening so after sunset we could relax in the warmth. We had intended to walk down to the main square to eat in the evenings, but having had a superb home cooked meal in the Riad on our first evening, we ate in most nights. The breakfasts again were all home cooked and even the preserves were made in the Riad. Our two favourite gardens, Le Jardin Majourelle and the newly restored Secret Garden were only 15 minutes walk away. While the main Square is about a 25 mins walk, this was mostly through the Souk so was always entertaining. Staying there for 7 nights we soon relaxed into a lazy routine of a late breakfast, exploring the city from 11am to 3 pm before retreating to the Riad to relax on the roof terrace, followed by a wonderful home cooked dinner. My partner is nut intolerant and they were great in adjusting the meal ingredients to accommodate her needs. We simply had a great holiday!Valérie D, Propriétaire at Riad Anyssates, responded to this review Dear, all the staff join me in thanking you for taking the time to share your experience. We hope to see you again at the riad.Kind regards. « less

60th birthday - Nov 6, 2018
I had the "exclusivity" of Anyssates for one week where I have celebrated my 60th birthday with all my family and some friends.I cannot express enough our enjoyment. The service has been excellent, the staff has done their best every time to make everybody happy. The food quality is excellent, cooked by an even more excellent cook, Haisha, and what it has been really nice has been to come back in the evening and find the fireplace on with a nice table prepared. Nawal and Samir are always alert for everybody's needs and the contact with Valerie, the owner, has been always easy and friendly. Truly, highly recommended. Inform Nawal of any problem like I did with regards to the guide tour.« less

Overpriced - Jul 1, 2018
My boyfriend and I found this riad in a list of boutique hotels so we were expecting a unique experience. When we arrived the place was undergoing renovation and we couldn’t use the rooftop. The pool is really small and wasn’t clean on any day of our stay. The breakfast was very basic and nothing tasted fresh. The room was small and damp, and wasn’t cleaned properly during our stay. One of the robes provided in the room was dirty, and the towels looked and felt really old. The shower is poorly designed as the shower head holder is in a position that directs the water either to the wall or the ceiling. Finally, the location isn’t the best as it’s at the edge of the medina in a more chaotic part with cars and traffic.« less

Believe the hype - May 12, 2018
The most perfect riad tucked away on the outskirts of medena. The location couldn’t be better, being half way between jamaa el fna (old town) and gueliz (new town), even though it’s still in the Medena walls it’s extremely quiet. The room was kept immaculately clean with everything you’d need to feel safe and comfortable. The customer service in Marrakech on a whole is of a high standard but at riad anyssates it was the best experience one could ask for, the staff couldn’t make you feel more welcome 5 stars for Samir & Tariq. All round giving such a personal, welcoming, comfortable and tentative service along with the beautiful picturesque riad...this was the perfect place for our honeymoon« less
