A nightmare!!! - Jun 11, 2019
Our last night in Marrakech was a nightmare. We booked this Ryad cause it looked nice and charming, actually it was our worst customer experience in marrakech. The room are really old (not like in pictures) and we had been awaken during our sleep by an explosion in our bathroom. The hot water conduct seems to be really old and our all room was under water (water flooding) after 5 min. It was horrible. We had at 2am to go to another ryad 20 min away by walk with our luggages. Then the next day, we asked the manager to send us back our remaining luggages left at the ryad and the manager didn’t want to do it and asked us to come back to be sure we pay the last dinner we had at the riad. At the end, no apologies, no commercial grants, a last day tired. This ryad is really a scam!andal0us, Gérant at Palais Riad Calipau Marrakech, responded to this review Hello, thank you for taking the time to write a comment in English and French knowing that you are the same customers and the importance you bring to our riadactually we had a technical problem in your room in the middle of the night following a water supply that dropped, we made the decision very quickly to relocate in the middle of the night in another riad which had a free room because we were full and close to our riad because it was unthinkable for us to leave you in a room with your feet in the water, we would have had a free room the problem did not arise and you will simply change room unfortunately set it na not been the case, actually I apologize for your return from this technical incident beyond our control, I saw that you have very badly taken my apologies for your kindness, it is very regrettableFYI you have been relocated in a riad that I know very well for having managed before that is rated 5 starsThis kind of problem may have happened in any hotel and may be homethe work was immediately done the next morning to receive our client as it shouldcordiallyThe direction « less

Tranquil Oasis - Jun 7, 2019
We stayed for 4 nights in May/June 2019. The Riad is a 2 minute walk from the Kasbah Mosque (ideal for taxis). Upon arrival, I was initially concerned by the hustle and bustle, however, the Riad is located down a quiet passage and once the entrance door is closed, you are in what can only be described as a tranquil oasis. The Riad has exceptional rooms, cleaned daily, a pool and and a wonderful rooftop. It was our first trip to Marrakesh, and Patrice was most helpful with tips and advice, and kindly organised a Camel Ride for us, as well as Airport transport. I would highly recommend staying at Palais Riad Calipau.andal0us, Gérant at Palais Riad Calipau Marrakech, responded to this review Thank you for your message. We are happy for the time shared together and that you enjoyed your stay with us. We hope to see you during your next stay in Marrakech. Patrice and all the team of the Riad Palais Calipau. « less

Beautiful Riad - May 31, 2019
Having visited Marrkech several times I was pleasantly surprised on arrival at Palais Calipau. The riad is an oasis of calm from the bustling streets outside with a beautiful pool in the centre. The rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious with gorgeous views over the courtyard. As breakfast is usually free when staying in a riad ( I've stayed in many ) I was surprised to find that omelettes were not included and an extra charge of 30/40dh applied.Eggs to order are ALWAYS usually included with breakfast however in this riad it was whatever egg dish they decided to make that morning.Only a small portion is made and goes very quickly as the continental breakfast is served buffet style. The main improvement (and my only main annoyance ) was that a key to the front door of the riad was not provided. This meant pressing the buzzer several times everytime we returned after lunch/dinner and was not pleasant in the 40 degree heat.As the riad is in a very quiet street we felt a little uneasy waiting outside when it became dark. The majority of the staff were lovely and always greeting you when they saw you. There was however, one staff member who seemed like he was the manager who only seemed to want to speak to you if you were French. He could improve his people skills hugely as the majority of people staying in this riad were not French.andal0us, Gérant at Palais Riad Calipau Marrakech, responded to this review Thank you for your message. Stunning riad - May 29, 2019
Stunning riad in the Kasbah area of Marrakesh. If you want to experience staying in a traditional property then I'm sure this won't disappoint. Hidden away from the madness of the streets outside, this riad is immaculately clean and well presented. Every single member of staff friendly and attentive to your needs, nothing is too much trouble, even getting breakfast before you leave at 6 for your flight home! Relaxing sun terrace on the rooftop, suitable for sun and shade lovers! Lovely breakfasts served on there too. Thank you.andal0us, Gérant at Palais Riad Calipau Marrakech, responded to this review Thank you for your message. We are happy for the time shared together and that you enjoyed your stay with us. Paradise in the Kasbah! - May 3, 2019
We stayed 1 night in this amazing riad, and it was heavenly! The attention to detail was astounding - even the hand towels were scented with rose perfume. The riad itself is quiet, spacious, and luxurious. The rooms are large and simply beautiful! There is a large pool in the courtyard with lounges and chairs set around. The riad also has a huge rooftop terrace offering a variety of separate spaces with chairs, banana lounges and sofas. It is so peaceful that we laid down and fell asleep. The riad also houses a hamaam, which we took advantage of. Perhaps elsewhere it might be a bit cheaper, but it was so nice to enjoy the hamaam and then relax without having to combat the outside world. We also stayed for dinner and it was delicious. Palais Calipau is a luxurious and serene refuge in the middle of the Marrakech Kasbah! « less
