Lovely place. Lovely people - Nov 13, 2018
A beautiful Riad with an incredible location close to the Kasbah and within a short walk of the madness of the Medina. Patrice was always on hand to help and recommended an utterly amazing trip to the Atlas Mountains. What a special day that was. Definitely recommend a massage there too. Breakfast was different every day with Maria making lovely Moroccan delicacies to tempt every morning. The rooms were big and spacious.andal0us, Gérant at Palais Riad Calipau Marrakech, responded to this review Thank you for your message. Fabulous Riad - Oct 23, 2018
This Riad is beautiful, an Oasis from the frantic activity of Marrakech. The breakfasts are traditonal, we all loved it, especially my daugher who couldnt believe she could have cake very day ! Good selection including fruit, bread, yougurt, olives, excellent coffee and of course the obligatory mint tea. Fabulous room, the bathroom could benefit from some decorating especially the shower but perfectly adequate. The whole Riad is spotless. The staff are really helpful , attending to your every need and the Riad is well run by Patrice. I would also reccomend the traditonal Hamman which we had in the Riadandal0us, Gérant at Palais Riad Calipau Marrakech, responded to this review Thank you for your message. Great location and nice facility. - Oct 14, 2018
The Palais Riad Calipau represents excellent value and its location is superb. It could be better than it is if the staff communicated and were consistent with their information. For example, we had an early departure one morning and asked for an early breakfast, to be told that wasn't possible. The manager on duty the next day arranged for an even earlier breakfast the following day. We booked dinner in advance and at dinner were told we should have also booked our wine, as they only had white and rose. Naheer (sp?) was extremely helpful and did his best to take the bumps out of our stay.andal0us, Gérant at Palais Riad Calipau Marrakech, responded to this review Thank you for your message. Thoroughly recommend this place! - Oct 7, 2018
We stayed at this hotel for a few days in October 2018. We were pleasantly surprised at the very high level of service and care at this hotel. They could not do enough for us. We found Palais Calipau to be a lovely, peaceful retreat from the mad but exciting city of Marrakesh!Thoroughly recommended!andal0us, Gérant at Palais Riad Calipau Marrakech, responded to this review Thank you for your message. Absolutely everything you want - Sep 25, 2018
I was so nervous to travel to Marrakech as it was my first holiday away without my parents, and this was just so perfect. We’d organsied a shuttle transfer from the airport to our Riad, but to be honest, the airport isn’t that far away, it would be cheaper to just get a taxi at the airport. However, if you like to have things forward planned, it doesn’t hurt to get a pre booked transfer. Upon arrival, we were given tea and cake and the manager ran through a list of everything we could do. I would definitely suggest going on a couple of excursions. We were there for 6 days and we did a camel ride for a couple of hours one day, and two trips to the Atlas mountain waterfalls and Essaouira. The Riad have a booklet of trips that can be arranged and each come with a safe taxi. I was so surprised that me and my boyfriend literally got our own private driver to take us on a 3 hour drive each way, and wait for us to explore whilst we were at the destination and bring us all the way back again - it wasn’t expensive at all. I would really recommend getting a hammam bath and massage through the Riad as it is SO relaxing and cheap. We had breakfast included each morning which was delicious, with lots of different fruit, pancakes, coffee and juice etc. I would recommend getting the app called maps.me as you can download the map of Marrakech before you set off, and then you don’t have to use your internet when you’re out there. Whilst at your Riad, if you just mark your current location on the map, you’ll be able to direct yourself from anywhere back to your Riad. I was told how easy it was to get lost in Marrakech as everywhere looks the same, but with this map I was able to walk for an hour from Jardin Majorelle all the way back to the Riad without getting lost. It tells you also where the nearest restaurants, cash points and sites to see etc are. I must also mention the most delicious restaurant called Cafe Clock which is a couple of minutes away by foot (if that). They have delicious food and super friendly staff - we ended up eating there every night as the food at the hotel was lovely, but you had to pre order everything before 5pm each day so the kitchen could prepare everything which we couldn’t do when we were out all day every day.The rooms were so clean and we had new bedding, towels and dressing gowns every single day. Overall, I couldn’t recommend this place enough.andal0us, Gérant at Palais Riad Calipau Marrakech, responded to this review Thank you for your message.
